Stars, Stripes & Spirits • Free Family-Friendly Ghost Tour
October 16 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
HAMMONTON, NJ – Hammonton’s past is coming back to life this October as MainStreet Hammonton presents Stars, Stripes & Spirits! Haunted Hammonton Ghost Stories on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, this year’s Haunted Hammonton takes a patriotic turn, inviting guests to step into the history of our nation and hear the stories of spirits who helped shape it. The free, family-friendly walking tour will lead visitors through Downtown Hammonton, where storytellers will share tales connected to local people, places and moments in history.
This year’s stories span multiple generations of American history, including tales connected to World War I, World War II and the Vietnam War, with stops throughout the downtown featuring props, historic imagery and costumed storytellers to help bring each story to life.
Tours will start and end behind Cream Café, with a new group departing every 15 minutes beginning at 6:00 PM. The final tour will depart at 7:45 PM. No registration or admission fee is required.
And the haunting does not end when the tour does. The event hub behind Cream Café will feature hot chocolate, cider, popcorn, treats, games, spooky entertainment and more, giving families a place to gather before and after their tour.
Guests are encouraged to arrive early to explore Downtown Hammonton before the tour. Visit downtownhammonton.com for a list of businesses throughout the Downtown district. The rain date is Friday, October 23.
