ACUA: Recycle the right way with this guide!

2026-06-24T18:24:20-04:00

Some quick recycling tips: Check the Number - Only plastic items marked with #1, #2, or #5 can go in your curbside recycling bin. Plastics with other numbers should go in the trash. Keep Plastic Bags and Films Out - Items like plastic bags, bubble wrap, and plastic film can’t be recycled curbside. Many local grocery stores offer drop-off bins specifically for these materials! Clean and Empty - Make sure all food or liquid containers are empty and rinsed to help us keep the recycling stream clean. For Atlantic County's full recycling guidelines, visit acua.com/recycling101.
