Hammonton Town Hall offices will be closed on Memorial Day and Monday's trash collection will be picked up on Tuesday, May 26th. In celebration of National Rescue Dog Day, May 20, the Atlantic County Animal Shelter is helping to raise awareness of the value of rescue dogs as great companions with a special adoption promotion. “Rescue dogs are ready to offer love and loyalty to the families that adopt them,” stated County Executive Dennis Levinson. “I have had several rescue dogs in my lifetime and have never been disappointed.” The shelter is waiving the $110 adoption fee between Wednesday, May 20 and Sunday, May 24 for dogs available for immediate adoption. “Our goal is to match these dogs with caring, responsible pet owners,” [...]

The Hammonton Fire Department, Hammonton Drug Alliance, and Rita’s of Hammonton will be hosting an event to connect the community with their local volunteer fire department. Stop by Rita’s of Hammonton between 6pm-8pm on Wednesday, July 29th! There will be give-a-ways from the fire department and drug alliance. Rita’s is donating 25% of all sales during the event to the Hammonton Fire Department. The funds raised will help keep our firefighters hydrated during the HOT summer months.
