On Wednesday, October 15 from 10am to 12pm, Jewish Family Service will host a monthly community outreach in Hammonton to provide access and information about agency programs and services as well as community referrals. Look for the JFS mobile van at the Hammonton Family Success Center, 310 Bellevue Avenue. If you are looking for assistance – counseling, mental health services, supportive housing and more – plan to stop by and speak with a JFS staff member.

Hammonton Town Hall will be closed on October 13th, 2025 in observance of Columbus Day.  Trash collection on Monday will resume on Tuesday, October 14th. Brush week is October 14th-17th. Please make sure your yard waste does not exceed a 6'x6'x6’ pile. Clippings should be placed at the curb before 6:00 a.m. on your regular trash day. Inclement weather will set back collections so please be patient with the Public Works Department. Curbside leaf collection begins on Monday, October 20th. Hammonton Water Department to Provide Free In-Home Inspections of Water Service Lines on October 14, 15 and 16. Beginning Tuesday, October 14 through Thursday, October 16, the Hammonton Water Department will be going door-to-door to offer free inspections of residential drinking water service lines to develop a more complete inventory of Hammonton Water Department’s water service line materials. The Bike MS: City to Shore Ride 2025 will travel through Hammonton on Saturday, September 27 and Sunday, September 28. Pine Road in Hammonton is closed between Union Road and Myrtle Street today, Monday, September 22, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. due to a local municipality water main repair. Motorists should follow the posted detour and plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route.

The Kiwanis Club of Hammonton 49th Annual Halloween Parade Wednesday, October 29, 2025, 7PM Downtown Hammonton The parade will originate at Orchard Street and Egg Harbor Road and proceed up Bellevue Avenue to the Atlantic County Human Services building. Route 54 Reconstruction Project • Hammonton On Monday, September 22 through Friday, September 26 a lane shift will be in effect for concrete flatwork on Route 54 (12th Street) from Monroe Avenue to Chew Road in Hammonton. All road work will take place from 7a.m. to 5p.m. Motorists should expect delays and seek alternate routes, especially during peak travel times. Please exercise caution when in the area.   The regular maintenance of Hammonton fire hydrants will begin this week and continue through October 3rd, to maintain and improve water quality. Routine upkeep also ensures that hydrants are properly working. Flushing fire hydrants may release sediment, which could lead to temporary instances of discolored or "rusty" water for some customers. This discoloration is a common occurrence during such maintenance activities and any resulting changes in water quality or service interruptions are expected to be brief and minimal.
