Hammonton Ground Mosquito Spray Schedule:
Monday, September 9th between 4:30 am and 5:30 am
Weather permitting, the Atlantic County Office of Mosquito Control plans to treat parts of Hammonton as part of its ongoing effort to control adult mosquitoes and mosquito-borne disease activity. The area to be treated (see map) is bounded by North 1st Rd., Route 54, Fourth St. and Pleasant St., Grand St. and Wilbur Ave.
Spraying to reduce adult mosquitoes using ground application equipment will take place on Monday morning, September 9th, between 4:30 am and 5:30 am. Ground spraying will be done using Zenivex, the trade name for etofenprox, applied as an ultra-low volume aerosol.
If weather conditions prohibit the application on 9/9/24, the alternate date will be 9/10/24.
The EPA does not require relocating or taking special precautions during mosquito control spraying, people may choose to avoid or minimize exposure by:
- Staying indoors during application to immediate area
- Keeping windows shut, window fans and air conditioners off (or set to circulate indoor air) during spraying
- Keeping children’s toys indoors
- Keeping pets indoors, as well as their food, water dishes and toys.
