The regular maintenance of Hammonton fire hydrants will begin this week and continue through October 3rd, to maintain and improve water quality. Routine upkeep also ensures that hydrants are properly working.
Flushing fire hydrants may release sediment, which could lead to temporary instances of discolored or “rusty” water for some customers. This discoloration is a common occurrence during such maintenance activities and any resulting changes in water quality or service interruptions are expected to be brief and minimal.
