HEF Collection Central: Paper Shredding

Save the date for September 27th for Collection Central! This event raises funds for the HEF by offering mobile paper shredding. All proceeds benefit our organization.
Additionally, this event serves as an opportunity for the community to give to several local organizations, including Book Smiles, the local school pantries, the Women’s Civic Club Kids’ Closet, the Migrant Worker Outreach, the Lions Club, and the Hammonton Presbyterian Church. Secure ProShred Mobile Paper Shredding
- Protect yourself, your business, and your family while cleaning out your personal records.
- Only paper, newspapers and magazines are accepted.
- Please remove plastic or metal, including 3-ring binders and binder clips. Paper clips and staples are accepted.
- Residents: $20 donation for three 33-gallon bags.
- Businesses: Per pound on a sliding scale, ranging from $50 for up to 150 lbs and $250 for up to 1,000 lbs.
- Hard Drives Destroyed: $10 each

ITEMS TO BE COLLECTED
- Book Collection – Donate books for all ages, including encyclopedias and reference books (10¢ per book donation suggested). Books go to BookSmiles, promoting reading among children. Large donations (100+ books), call/text Mark at (856) 495-5553.
- School Pantry Project – Shelf-stable snacks, mac & cheese, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, feminine hygiene products, deodorant, and more.
- Kid’s Closet (Women’s Civic Club) – New or gently used children’s and women’s clothing, shoes, boots, and coats.
- Migrant Worker Outreach – Individually packaged soap, sunglasses, playing cards, clothespins.
- HPD Unused Prescription Drug Collection – Pills, capsules, patches, pet medications (no syringes, liquids, or powders).
- Hammonton Lions Club – Prescription glasses, sunglasses (no cases), hearing aids.
- Hammonton Presbyterian Church – New/slightly used toys/games, hygiene items, household goods, and small appliances for needy families.
Not only can individuals and businesses securely shred documents and hard drives for a donation to the HEF at Collection Central, but you can also support the mission of the Hammonton Lions Club’s by donating used glasses to help give the gift of sight.
