Trash Guidelines
Trash must be placed in a town-issued toter by 6:00 a.m. on your designated collection day. The toter should be positioned within five feet of any obstacles, such as mailboxes, poles, vehicles, or recycling bins, to ensure proper pickup. Residents are required to remove their toters from the curb by 12:00 noon the following day.
Hammonton Trash Toter • Missing or Damaged
Municipal trash cans are the property of the Town of Hammonton. Toters are assigned to residential addresses and are not transferable to another location or address. Property owners should call the Public Works Department at 609-567-4336 to report a damaged or stolen toter. Please leave your name, address and phone number on the department’s voicemail to begin the process of replacing or repairing it.
ACUA Recycling Carts
ACUA offers 96-gallon recycling carts for households who want extra space to hold their recyclables. The recycling carts are available for $80 each. Carts can be ordered online and delivered to your Atlantic County residence at no extra cost.
ACUA Recycling Buckets
Atlantic County residents who receive recycling collection from ACUA are entitled to one free 20-gallon recycling bucket every 4 calendar years to use for curbside recycling collection. Additional buckets can be purchased for $15 at ACUA’s Environmental Park Geo Building.
Please call the ACUA at 609-272-6950 to see if you’re eligible to receive a free bucket!
