A new rubberized tot-lot was recently constructed next to the Little League concession stand at Hammonton Lake Park, contributing to the areas ongoing enhancement efforts. Additionally, safety ballads were added over the summer along the entire ADA-compliant concrete walkway that encircles the track area. Keep an eye out for more exciting improvements coming your way soon!

The Town of Hammonton has employed a grant-funding strategy for improvements at the Lake Park that have minimized impact on the local taxpayers. The tot-lot was funded in part by a $67,000 Local Recreation Improvement Grant through the NJ Dept. of Community Affairs. The installation of the concrete pathways and bollards, and the purchase of ADA-compliant bleachers and picnic tables were funded by a Community Development Block Grant and a Small Cities grant through the NJDCA. More improvements are coming to Hammonton’s Lake Park thanks to funding from the NJ Dept. of Environmental Protection’s Green Acres program.
