2026 Lake and Community Clean Up Join the Hammonton Green Committee for the 2026 Lake and Community Clean Up on Saturday, March 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. This annual event brings families, students and caring individuals together to keep Hammonton beautiful. What started as a park clean up at the Hammonton Lake has expanded to include other areas across the community. Have fun, help out! Opening Day of Trout Season

Each year, NJDEP Fish & Wildlife raises and stocks thousands of freshwater fish across the state thanks to the dedicated staff at the Pequest Trout Hatchery and Hackettstown State Fish Hatchery. The Pequest Trout Hatchery plays a vital role in raising and stocking over 600,000 rainbow trout annually, stocking over 190 waterbodies throughout the state. Opening Day of Trout Season is Saturday, April 11. Remember to purchase your fishing license and trout stamp!
