Opening Day of Trout Season • Saturday, April 11, 2026 Each year, NJDEP Fish & Wildlife raises and stocks thousands of freshwater fish across the state thanks to the dedicated staff at the Pequest Trout Hatchery and Hackettstown State Fish Hatchery. The Pequest Trout Hatchery plays a vital role in raising and stocking over 600,000 rainbow trout annually, stocking over 190 waterbodies throughout the state. 4th of July Fireworks will be held at Hammonton Lake Park, 100 Sports Drive, Hammonton, NJ on Friday, July 4th, 2025 at around dusk, approximately 9:00 p.m. The fireworks will be set off from the little league baseball field along S. Egg Harbor Road, same area as last year, 2024. Many spots within the park will have a great view of the display.
